
The soloist for Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto is local interventional pain management physician and classically trained violinist, Dr. Jonathan Daitch. Dr. Daitch has been playing violin since the age of 6, having studied with Steven Wolosonovich. He spent summers at Juilliard Summer Strings Camp in Meadowmount, New Jersey and received a scholarship to attend the Aspen Music Festival in 1981. He has performed the Beethoven, Brahms and Bruch violin concertos with orchestras during his musical career. He is an active chamber musician and is currently the Gulf Coast Symphony’s concertmaster. Trained as an anesthesiologist, he presently works as a full-time Interventional Pain Physician in Fort Myers.
