Sal Viviano
A Detroit native, Sal Viviano began his career opening for Comedy Greats of the last generation.made his Broadway debut in THE THREE MUSKETEERS (1984); followed-by starring roles in the Broadway hits ROMANCE / ROMANCE, CITY OF ANGELS, FALSETTOS, THE LIFE, and THE FULL MONTY. Off-Broadway, Mr. Viviano’s co-starred in THE BIG TIME, as well as GOLF, THE MUSICAL * (Backstage Award), BEAU JEST, CATHER COUNTY, WEIRD ROMANCE *, CATCH ME IF I FALL *, BROADWAY JUKEBOX, and HAMLET, THE OPERA for Joseph Papp
On-tour, he’s starred in EVITA, ANYTHING GOES!, THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, HAIR; and received a HELEN HAYES! AWARD (Best Actor) nomination for his title-role portrayal in SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE (Washington, D.C.); having also appeared regionally at more than two-dozen theatres, Nationwide. In New York this Summer, he starred in the 20th Anniversary Production of Maltby and Shire’s CLOSER THAN EVER, directed by Mr. Maltby; and also recently co-starred as Billy Flynn in the smash hit CHICAGO.
Kip Wilborn
American tenor Kip Wilborn has enjoyed a career that has flourished in both North America and Europe. Versatile and accomplished in the classical repertoire, his credits as a leading operatic tenor include engagements in opera houses such as San Francisco Opera, Opéra National de Paris, New York City Opera, Seattle Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Cleveland Opera, Cincinnati Opera, San Diego Opera, Volksoper Vienna, Trieste’s Teatro Giuseppe Verdi, Essen’s Aalto Theater, Berlin’s Theater des Westens, Dublin Grand Opera, and Wexford Festival. Favorite roles within his repertoire include Cavaradossi in TOSCA, Pinkerton in MADAMA BUTTERFLY, Calaf in TURANDOT, Pelléas in PELLÉAS ET MÉLISANDE, Don José in CARMEN, Turiddu in CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA, and Siegmund in DIE WALKÜRE.
On the concert stage, he has performed as a soloist with various orchestras, including the Baltimore Symphony, American Symphony Orchestra (at Alice Tully Hall), Utah Symphony, Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, Russian Philharmonic Orchestra of Moscow, Theater im Pfalzbau Orchestra, Lehar International Orchestra, and Irish Radio Symphony. His oratorio repertoire includes Mozart’s REQUIEM, Beethoven’s NINTH SYMPHONY and MASS IN C, Handel’s MESSIAH, Mendelssohn’sSAINT PAUL, and Verdi’s REQUIEM.
